Funnels are important hobby tools. While I could grab a funnel from the kitchen, or from the house tool box, I like to have specific hobby tools. That way there is no complaint about me having the hobby tool when it is needed elsewhere, or complaint's that I got paint on them.

To the OP, I don't have hobby funnels … not much use. On the occasion where I do need one, I grab a piece of scrap cardboard (usually one that is messed up already and I should have pitched) and improvise one. It may hang for a while, or may be disposed of immediately.

I do, however have several other "skepi" (Greek for device, and seems to be more idiomatically correct than other English equivalents) that have other uses in the house. I have my own scissors and fabric scissors, chisels, utility knives, etc. This means mine are always in my hobby area (althoughm that could be considered the whole house) when I need them and the others are where they belong (not squirreled away by me) when others need them.

I can't recall the need for a funnel, either. Bunkermeister, do you use them for paints?

I use funnels for decanting spray paint so I can to touch up with a brush.

I also use funnels for transferring other liquids like paint thinner or paint remover into different containers so they can be used for thinning or removing paint.

They are inexpensive, last forever, and unlike paper products don't absorb the liquids.

Thanks for reading.

I have a hobby funnel. Used for pouring resin back into the bottle after 3D printing. It has a strainer.

I have funnels for house and car projects. We may even have one for the kitchen.
