In the early 80's my first Napoleonic figures were Mike's models. The heads were oversized yet I still like them.
You still can find some at con flea markets.

If I remember correctly, the horses are the standard, modern Essex horses, rather than the old MM ones.

I have bunches of these in my lead mountain. Arquebus, Crossbow, Pike, Halberds, Command, some Cav. I was going to do a Swiss army for the period. Maybe one day…

These were the first wargame figures I ever bought. Purchased two ready made armies for the English Civil War back in 1986 while in the Army in Germany. Still have my little veterans and a whole lot more! Loved them back then and love them even more today, so full of personality and they paint up really easy due to the somewhat "exaggerated" detail.
Yes, the renaissance range is still available by special order on Essex's website. Only trouble is, as stated above, the horses are the new Essex type so they don't really go all that well with the old smaller Mike's riders.
