YouTube video on how models are made, demonstrating four methods, four materials; comparison of the methods, their costs, and their Pro's and Con's. YouTube link This video was made by Goobertown Hobbies. I found this really interesting: 3D printing by pro's, for making mold masters; 2-part resin casting; plastic injection molding using thermoplastics (two types); and metal centrifugal casting. If you have ever wondered how our miniature figurines are made, this is a fascinating peak behind the curtain. Cheers! |
