I've just started painting some Perry ACW and so have been looking through my stack of rule books in case I ever paint enough to have a game. I found Brother Against Brother, and looking at old TMP posts, it seemed to be a very popular skirmish game that is now long out of print. Does anyone still play this game? If not, what are the popular ACW skirmish rules these days?

They came up in conversation at the club the other day and we are hoping to try them out soon. I haven't played them for at least 10 years.

Rebels and Patriots are the popular set at our club for AWI and ACW skirmish style games.

We have had at least two games of Brother against Brother at Nashcon for a number of years now.

I own it but no longer play it. I'd be interested in a more modern rules set.

I haven't seen it played locally in many years. Rebels and Patriots seems to be a popular system.

I know that they have been play testing version 2.

Our club play it regularly as a multi-player game. Last night we played a scenario with 6 players. Always a good fun game. Although we play a version of our own based on the Tiny Tin Man version (Not the current version though, last years).

We play a free flowing skirmish game without the cards. We use the TTM charts.
What I particularly like about it is the tension of having to roll on the morale charts before a unit that has a hit marker can take an action. Also the morale tests before a unit can charge and the defender receiving a charge.

We love it!
