very interesting. It must be frustrating to not know who/why though.

Interesting, indeed. It sounds like this was an era when ranged weapons were in the ascendant and warriors were less interested in engaging in close combat. It would be interesting to see what they find out about shields--whether they used big, defensive shields, like the Mycenaean tower shields or Egyptian tombstone shields, or used smaller shields, that could be moved around to provide protection from other directions.

Fascinating. The arrowheads reveal a great deal. I'm curious as to whether the flint heads are from an earlier time, or a case of using whatever was at hand.

It's wild to think of battles and wars which no one remembers. One wonders if it entered into later Germanic myths. A battle of this size in such an era and culture would seem of enormous significance… maybe even "world ending?"
Probably impossible to determine, being so far removed from literary societies. I could see tales of it drifting down into Greek ears.

Very interesting. It gives credence to negative views of human
nature.

The ability to discern the difference between Good and Evil does not translate into making the right choice.

I always wondered how many were killed by their own side as uniforms had not been used yet.
Being born with black hair when your tribe/people had blonde hair most have sucked.

I'm sure they'll do DNA testing on the bones, so they'll have ideas on the "who" eventually…

That was quite interesting and thought provoking.

Thanks.
