link As a youngster I was inspired by the story of Caesar's first landing in Britain when the Eagle bearer of the 10th Legion jumped into the sea to inspire the other Romans to follow. Many years later I have recently staged a game to recreate this. Full battle report with photos is now up on my blog at link The rules used were Legio VI Julia Augusta which are available as a free download from my website at legio-wargames.com/legio-vi I shall shortly post the full scenario on my website. The game was huge fun and calls for a follow-up action. |

Nifty AAR. I love the successful sacrifice bit— I assume that's part of the rules? |

The sacrifice was something I devised for this scenario as well as challenges to personal combat. Simon |
