The American historian and essayist Thurber wrote this piece of speculative alt-history in the 1930s.
I feel this topic is in keeping with the topics the ACW Discussion Board has been discussing the past few weeks.

Any thoughts? Surely we have all read this in the past.

It is a very humorous short play. A local group put it on stage as "A Thurber Carnival" along with a number of other short plays in the show.
