yes, my broker pointed it out to me. Nice to see it out there. I remember seeing an article in The Globe Democrat many, many years ago that let me know there was wargaming going on in St. Louis. ACW on a sand table. Wow! Many, many, many years ago.

Pretty good article. I liked that there were no snide or "cute" remarks made by the writer. Always good to have some kind of press, though.

Bobspruster, the reporter was very nice and very professional. We all believe that she did a great job for us.

St. Louis has a very strong gaming scene in general—we probably have more game stores per capita than any other city, not just smaller shops but including multiple bigger ones like Miniature Market (which is the big online retailer) and Fantasy Shop (big comics also), plus a place called GameNite and two on the Illinois side of the river. There are at least four places with very large gaming spaces that people regularly run anything from Warhammer to historicals. We have several board-gaming bars/restaurants as well, and a dedicated annual boardgaming convention that is up to several thousand attendees. The guys from Big Muddy have really stepped up their attempts to publicize the historical community in recent years, hosting events on a rotating basis at local stores, etc.

We also have a GW store, but we don't talk about that, lol.
