Hi guys A mixed bag of 1/72 WWII vehicles finished, some for France 1940 and some for North Africa, figures are all AB, I particularly enjoyed painting the little M11/39 Italian tanks, I need to start my planned Italian project at some stage, I plan on doing Italians at Stalingrad rather than North Africa. link

Very impressive for 1/72 scale figures! The vehicles are exceptional, as well. I love the 'dirt' on the tire treads for the cannons, on the truck beds, as well as all of the other vehicle tires. Love the paint scrapes on the vehicles, as well -- they look almost real. Genuinely impressive paint work. Thanks for sharing. Cheers! |

Great work and another vote for the most impressive weathering I have ever seen on 1/72 scale vehicles! |

Fantastic work! Who are the manufactures of the vehicles? |

Excellent work on all of those, Gunner! I especially like the weathering on the British North Africa vehicles. |

Thanks guys, the vehicles are 3D printed by myself from various STL suppliers, though I have improve the files somewhat on a few. |

The Somua can be even more colourful in Free French markings for Tunisia. They look terrific as they are. For that level of detail around the access doors and engine hatches I had to resort to much brasswork on mine, from Heller |

Simply some top-shelf quality paintjobs there, Gunner! Also nice to see someone who does research (ie: Italians supporting Germans in Russia). |

Beautiful set of vehicles! Nice spray work on the Italian M11 tanks. Not to quibble (but I guess I am), Italy only used M11/39 tanks in North Africa. There was a production run of 100 of these, and North Africa is where they ended up, eventually being destroyed -- or supplanted by the M13/40 and later models that did indeed get used on the Eastern Front. Some captured M11s were used by the Allies after the first Italian defeat, due to a shortage of British tanks caused by sending the expeditionary force to Greece. They were in service when the Afrika Korps showed up. The ones used by the Australians had large kangaroo figures painted prominently on the sides. |

Yep, my comment was probably not clear, these were all done on commission and are intended for North Africa, however I enjoyed painting them, which means I should start my own Italian project for Russia. |

Ah, that makes more sense! Beautiful work, as I said. I began building plastic M11/39's before any companies sold them in 1/76, so mine are extensive conversions of RoCo PzKw IV models in 1/87, of which someone gave me a pile. A bit of work, but at least they both have 8 road wheels! ;-) |
