Wasn't aware that the Thai army fought in WW2. Hmm.

Nicely sculpted figures very well painted! I don't think I've ever seen photos or drawings of the Thais.

I noticed Badger did Yugoslavs, too. Perhaps they are working on a series of Obscure Armies of WWII. By the way, the Yugoslavs also look like nice figures judging by the photos.

Thai fought the French from Indo-China early in the war

Their history is as bizarre as that of Finland in WWII. They suffered more deaths the day after Pearl Harbour resisting both the invading Japanese and Commonwealth forces than they did in the earlier border war with the French! It was all over in hours.

They spent the war allied to the Japanese Empire, but never sent ground troops. I think Bangkok might have been bombed by the Allies…think.

There was interesting air combat in the Franco-Thai war. Dewoitine D.510s against Curtiss Hawk 75-Ns (this version had fixed landing gear).

They look nice but I couldn't find them on the Badger Games website. What are they listed under?

A Curtiss Hawk with fixed landing gear? Surely not, that would have been a daft design move and could never have happened.

Until @emckinney led me to read it up.

I did not even know the Thai Airforce had resisted the Japanese invasion. I thought minor police action only ("Minor" only to those who did not die in the event of course)
