It was announced at the Joy of Six Convention that Heroics & Ros will start selling Adler 6 & 10mm figures in October. Not sure if they purchased the lines but this is good news. |

That is wonderful news as the Adler 6mm lines are really nice and in particular, for me, the cavalry. |

How is the casting quality of H&R compared to Adler? |

Mister Tibbles: You can't really compare H&R to Adler. H&R Napoleonics were made and designed in the 70's. They are much smaller with less detail. Their modern micro armor and figures will give GHQ a run for their money. To me they are that good. Once H&R gets up to speed with whatever quirks exist in casting Adler figures, I have no doubt they will produce Adler figures of the same quality. |

FWIW, when it comes to 6mm figures compatibility: H&R and Irregular= Compatible. On the smaller side (ie: 6mm from foot to top of head) Adler and Baccus: Compatible. Larger than the above. 6mm from foot to across the eyes. Also the stature 9ie "heft and girth" of the figure is greater. Both are great figures but the difference is noticeable once on the table. (I used to cast Adler when Stone Mountain had the concession- I was deep into H&R for years at that time.- Loved them both.) With H&R doing Adler, they will have 6mm pretty well covered for both sizes of 6mm. That would make them more of a one-stop-shop for 6mm customers. IMHO that would make Baccus the other big boy on the block (typed from North America without the benefit of exposure to others who may be available elsewhere.) |
