Wow – that's a huge question, if you look on Plastic Soldier Review you'll see that there are several hundred sets to choose from covering all theatres and all stages of the war. Caeser and Strelets do some great sets, but even the venerable Airfix sets aren't so very bad. HaT are really useful for heavier weapons with boxes of just HMGs and mortars. So the first question is – which bit of WWII are you thinking of? |

The troops I bought because I wanted to game was for 1940 France. I picked up a bunch of stuff for NWE because it was relativeley cheap and was in one large collection. |

Thanks. My idea is to make 2 opposite Companies for generic Normandy scenarios, using Crossfire ruleset. |

If today's selection of 1/72 figures was available back in the day, I'd probably use them for everything now. |

I use 1/72 for rapid fire. I also mix in 20mm, 15mm at a push. I just got actung panzer but im going to use 1/72 for bigger battles. thinking of mixing rules rapid fire and tank close combat actung panzer. |
