Has anyone picked any of these up? If you have can you post a picture of it. I just ordered a few and wonder if they will fit in size wise with what I have, link Screwed up the topic, it should be Plastic Soldier Company. |

The collection has expanded since the last time I looked. I can't wait to see your photos. If PSC makes good prints without layer lines, I'm getting Hummels and Marders. - Ix PS: They list 12mm French tanks under the Germans (with German names), not under the French…? Huh. |

The Germans used them after France surrendered and renamed them and modified them. Useful for a partisan scenario maybe? |

Yes, or course, but my point was: PSC makes French tanks in 12mm. There is no 12mm product listed under "France". I see a disconnect. |

Xi- Not much demand for French vehicles, no figures and the only chance to sell any are under use by the Germans. Shame because France 40 could be an interesting period to game. Suggest you take a chance and order a Hummel and Marder from PSC. (The shipping is expensive to the USA and my order just shipped yesterday- ordered on April 6. They said they underestimated demand for the 1/144th 3D printed stuff. Maybe there is a bigger demand for 1/144th / 12mm vehicles than we realize? |

Now would be the time to get some, they have a 30% discount till the end of July using BAG01 at checkout. Helped defray the cost of shipping a bit. |

Yellow Admiral, if the tanks are the German mods--stowage boxes, different hatches and such--then they're not suitable for 1940 France, and Germany is where they should be listed. I'll grant you, some of the German mod French tanks show up back in French service in 1944-45, but in fairly small numbers and really the sort of thing which ought to be done in 28mm. |

[…]if the tanks are the German mods--stowage boxes, different hatches and such--then they're not suitable for 1940 France, and Germany is where they should be listed. That's a fair point, and probably hits the nail on the head. The PSC 12mm models are 3D prints, so it's mostly a matter of modifying existing STLs. The "French" section of the web site says "Coming soon", so I'm guessing this is the kind of thing going on in the background. PSC may also have done only German 12mm models first just to stick a toe in the water and test the market. From a business perspective, that makes perfect sense. - Ix |

A lot of their new miniatures are actually 3D prints from Bergman miniatures. |
Yellow Admiral | 26 Jun 2024 7:57 a.m. PST |
You may be right. Those with blue backgrounds look just like the m_bergman renders, so they probably are. OTOH, a lot of the renders say "NSM" in the corner, and look different from m_bergman redners in detail (more proportionate barrels, more track details, etc.). If anybody knows who NSM is or where to find more of their work, I'm all ears. Many of the miniatures have a WWII photo instead of a 3D render, and aren't listed in the m_bergman archive on Wargaming 3D, so are probably also somebody else's work. |

I found it: NSM = Night Sky Miniatures The renders on Wargaming 3D look much better than m_bergman's work – better proportions, better detail, more detail, etc. |

Hmm, my order was placed 6 weeks ago and has been on hold since then. Has anyone here ever dealt with this company before? Is this typical for them? I used the "contact us" screen but when I went to send the message nothing happened to indicate that it was actually sent. Not impressed with them at this point. |

After 2 months got an E-mail today telling me that they cannot get 4 of the 6 vehicles to print properly. They wanted to know if I wanted anything to replace them. I declined and cancelled the order, hopefully there will be no problems getting a refund. Can't say that I recommend this company. VERY disappointed. |

Ed, bad experience! We're seeing some of the 'hiccups' with Print On Delivery schemes – and not all files, in different scales work – the files often need to be custom-designed/modified for the specific [smaller] scales being printed. I had posted in the past few days, a link here on the 6mm WWII forum, a listing of some 6mm POD infantry and models from PSC – I am highly skeptical now that any orders for those would be smooth transactions – and would not also end up like Ed's experience with his aborted 1/144th scale order. Companies need to confirm they have the capability of actually 3D printing in the scales they advertise, before they offer them up for sale. Of course, a lot of this is due to teething problems with a new technology, but a lot maybe rushing to stay competitive in the marketplace (this can have the opposite effect on that marketplace – when you can't DELIVER). |

I am a commercial printer and Bergman is one of my licensed lines. I do occasionally find issue with the files. On occasion the treads won't print properly but with some careful adjustment to the position of the piece on the printer they will print ok. I usually print a spare or two just for backup. Bergman has a huge library of files, it is amazing. Also any money he makes from commercial printers he donates to charity. |

Here's an experience I had recently with a small-scale 3D Print project – TMP link Long story short, half-way through the building process, Shapeways reported that follow-on vehicles I ordered weren't printing properly. Of course now, Shapeways is also out of business. The first Prints were looking good, and I was enthusiastic about the initial possibilities, but that changed after I had put down hard-earn for these few, initial order$.

Bergman has a huge library of files, it is amazing. Such a large collection, it's almost more surprising what isn't included. The Bergman collection is only a few steps away from completionist satisfaction. |
