Hi has anyone have any idea what Vallejo/Humbrol/Revell paints to use to paint Finnish Winter War/Continuation War aircraft?

The good news is that this kind person has compiled a list, broken down by aircraft type and period of service, with all the relevant FS numbers where appropriate.:

The less good news is that there is variance (sometimes considerable) between manufacturers' interpretations of these FS colors, which is ironic since the the S is for Standard. There is some good chat and examples here:

My two cents is to consider your approach and intent. When I'm wearing my wargame painting hat, I balance color accuracy with what gives the best impression, as well as the fact that I'm usually compensating for a much smaller scale. When I'm wearing my fine scale modeler hat, I am trying to achieve as close as possible to a precise match at 1/48 or 1/72.

I've done my Fokker D.XXI in the following,
Vallejo – 70.888 Olive Grey
Revell – 36108 Black
Lifecolor – UA 503 Hellblau

Thank you both for your replies. Unfortunately enfant perdus your first link, sets off my McAfee virus protection, so I just used the second link.
