Years ago, I bought a cheap pack of fairly small files at Historicon. They are about 4" long, some are pointed, some are flat. They are about 1-2mm thick for the flats, and 2-3mm thick for the rounded, semi-rounded, etc. They are grooves, and are not uniformly rough [which I believe is called "diamond" finish]. I am having a difficult time finding the same set. Amazon has about 50 sets and there is rarely enough information in the ads, plus Amazon's search engine purposely overloads you. I'm looking for a SPECIFIC BRAND / MODEL and website to get them. I'll return to Amazon if I have the specific product. Please, try to be helpful or just don't reply at all. Thanks! |

You don't usually get diamond CUT files as small as this and the link is to diamond coated files; good for use on hard materials but clog quickly on softer stuff. |

correct – I don't want the diamond coated files. The files I have use grooves to grind things down. |

Finally just started buy chinese c--p from Amazon, returning the ones that were inaccurately described [three sets]. These are them! Mini Needle File Set, 12 Piece Set, 4 Inches | FIL-990.00 Brand: Eurotool link Quality is a bit worse than the set I have, with a bit of warping, but it won't matter for using them. |

These are a bit nicer: link Rubber handles, and they seem "straighter". Still cheap. |
