Here is an overview of my VASSAL module for Optio, available for download here. I've spend some time streamlining the module for gameplay. The module has these armies: Early Rome Hoplite Greece Macedonia Achaemenid Persia Seleucid Empire Republican Rome Late Carthage Numidia Spain Gaul Also completing the terrain. Terrain now comprises: Hill segments Large river (with/without ford) Small river Stream Sea Wood Scrub Treacherous marsh Easy Marsh Broken ground Ploughed land Vineyard Unfortified camp Fortified camp Enjoy!

Module updated (generals and commanders revamped and some inconsistencies cleaned up). Available here. Anyone interested in giving the system a whirl let me know and I'll send you the ruleset.
