If you continue to call and compare someone to "Hitler" and you really believe it and are not lying and exaggerating, what do you expect to happen?

Now add "threat to democracy", "dictator", " fascist" and continue to call his supporters "Nazis" and "supremists".

Would someone or multiple someone's NOT attempt to kill Hitler? I mean if you could have killed Hitler before WW2, wouldn't you?

Do you understand how this rhetoric could work?

SBminisguy17 Sep 2024 6:51 a.m. PST

The Democrat Establishmnt is defintely hoping for a Thomas Beckett moment against Trump.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP17 Sep 2024 7:58 a.m. PST

Yes, I do see how this could work, 35th and you are right. I don't really hear that much mention of Hitler but "threat to democracy" comes up constantly. Trump is part of his own problems. He cannot stop talking and he stirs the pot. But he is covered as a literal menace in the media. He is a street performer more than anything, but taking him with a grain of salt does not happen. Instead everything he says is seen as mortally dangerous. This ups the ante and the unstable among us react.

On the right everything is about how catastrophic things are in the US and someone is to blame, conspiracies behind every event and trend. Paul Pelosi gets beaten with a hammer. A guy walks into a Texas Walmart and kills 23 Latinos. American carnage.

Neither side will tone down. It feels like we are just waiting for the next incident.

Subject: Hillary Clinton Calls Trump ‘Danger to Our Country' After 2nd Assassination Attempt

link

I personally believe this woman is one of the main culprits of the divisions in this country. Much of it in an attempt to further her ambitions.

PS
Listen to this video and the amount of half truths and outright lies both women propagate! Of course the more repeated, the more believed. Especially if this is your source of news! And then to end it with: "and now speaking of dictators". 🤬

SBminisguy17 Sep 2024 8:48 a.m. PST

Trump is part of his own problems. He cannot stop talking and he stirs the pot.

Yep, that woman wearing the miniskirt shoulda known better, she was stirring the pot -- what else would you expect?

I think your view is off target -- ALL of the hate and division is flowing from the Left at the rest of Society to hammer them into accepting their power, and when you push back on their power grab they use hateful speech to accuse you of hate. They use Alinsky tactics to personalize politics -- what's the phrase? Oh yeah rule 13:

13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

That's what they are doing. So if a parent objects to their 10yo being groomed into trans-ideology to where the kid wants to essentially sterilize themselves with puberty blockers and even maim themselves for life with surgery, the Left swarm them and accuse *them* of being haters who don't love their kid, transphobes, unfit, etc.

That's the reality of today's society.

Oh -- and I hope the shooter doesn't get Epsteined.

Watching Law & Order SUV … yep … wearing a miniskirt is not an invitation to be raped. Who would argue with Benson, Stabler, Munch and Fin !?

SMm +1

IMO there is no real threat to our democracy … only if votes get corrupted.

Stalin said something like, "It is important to vote, but it is more important who count the votes." …

And people have to remember. No matter who the POTUS, JCS, etc. is … the Military does not have to follow an illegal order.

Alinsky was pointed out to me a few years ago by another TMP member, as the playbook being used. I read it, and he is correct. I recommend others take a look.

I had heard similar …

SBminisguy17 Sep 2024 9:48 a.m. PST

And ARE the Democrats toning down the rhetoric? Nope -- doubling down. Here's Hillary Clinton saying *after* the 2nd assassination attempt that, ""The press needs to create a consistent narrative about how dangerous Trump is," Hillary Clinton said. "He is a danger to our country and world."

…oh, and Hillary thinks people who post "misinformation" should be jailed…even though later in this interview she continues with election denial and says Russia got Trump elected.

Well guys I guess if they really wanted Trump dead, they would have him make a movie with Alec Baldwin. 😉

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP17 Sep 2024 10:25 a.m. PST

Good grief, did you forget that Alinsky's Rules for Patriots was used by the Tea Party movement? And other conservative movements, I believe. Until it was turned into a perjorative. Like progressive. Geez, who wants progress anyway? Or MAGA..God forbid we should have greatness as a goal.

I don't find it believable that this is 100% a left thing. DePape's own testimony in the Pelosi hammer attack case is pretty clear. As is the Texas Walmart shooter's manifesto.

Nothing much is 100%. Both sides play the same games, and if we start keeping score, we all fall into the same trap. The winners are the wealthy elites.. Unless you don't believe a billionaire is part of the elite. It comes down to the grifters at the top, and their so called political views are not about patriotism, they are about staying on top. You are certainly right about that.

dogtail17 Sep 2024 12:49 p.m. PST

Trump is a cult leader. And he is a millionar conning small people to believe he is anti establishment.
He is best buddies with Putin and the tyrant from North Korea.
He would sell Ukraine to Putin for nothing.
He is not a patriot.
He tried to stay in power after losing an election.
He is a thread to democracy.
The democrats are surely not angels, but neither are the republicans.
Trump is not even a politician, I give him that. And he is not a fascist or a Hitler. It is funny that the democratic party is already guilty of a crime that was not committed, so if a guy from Ukraine would kill Trump the democrats would be responsible. LOL

🤔 Would anyone like cookies with their Kool-Aid? 🍪

SBminisguy17 Sep 2024 2:24 p.m. PST

Good grief, did you forget that Alinsky's Rules for Patriots was used by the Tea Party movement?

Nope -- didn't happen. I was a "Tea Partier" and even ran and won local office to try to reform the local GOP Central Committee. I never encountered anyone using Alinsky's Rules for Radicals like that -- sure there was anger and passion, but because it appealed to the broken Establishment to fix things, it went nowhere and ended up being co-opted and killed by the Establishment. That's what happened in my area -- I was elected to the Central Committee, which turned out just be a rubber stamp for commercial interests and real estate developers, no traditional conservative ideals in site. It was all just "gimme the cassshhhh!!!" The local GOP was soooo hostile to Tea Partiers or any reformers that they supported Democrats rather than see a non-captive reform-minded Republican gain office!! That's why I'm an Independent now.

Until it was turned into a perjorative. Like progressive. Geez, who wants progress anyway?

Nope -- that's just Leftist wordplay to keep obscuring who the really are. It has gone from Socialist =>Progressive in the late 19thC/Early 20th C =>Liberal and back to Progresive again. Each time people start to catch onto the Leftist agenda and reject it, they change the name of their movement.

Forget it, Jake – it's Chinatown.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP17 Sep 2024 6:22 p.m. PST

I didn't say anything about Rules for Radicals. Put together by FreedomWorks….

SBminisguy17 Sep 2024 7:04 p.m. PST

FreedomWorks? LOL -- they're part of the Grifter Establishment that grabbed control of the movement and killed it. The Tea Party itself was spontaneous and grassroots, grew quickly past the expertise of normies to manage and then the pros stepped in and took over.

DePape's own testimony in the Pelosi hammer attack case is pretty clear.

I dunno, man. Depape was not a "Far right" crazy. He was a nudist, a nudist and weed rights activist, known for also turning tricks as a gay prostitute, and whose worldview was nuts, but parts aligned with Occupy. The cops who first responded indicated it may have been a domestic dispute, and local news reported it as a hook-up gone bad. The street rags in SF also reported that Paul was a switch-hitter who had a penchant for cruising and bringing home strays. The reporter was fired, the cops went on paid leave and two of the three officers involved left the SFPD by the end of the same year (2022). DePape was held in solitary for 8 months before his trial in SF.

All smells pretty rotten to me.

Tortorella Supporting Member of TMP18 Sep 2024 5:57 a.m. PST

I think DePape's testimony is pretty clear. The details that I read of this case are also pretty clear. Didn't the cops break his shoulder arresting him? Election denial, obsessed with blaming Nancy for the result, planned to break her knee caps unless she told the truth. His words. We have alternate versions, are convinced.

In the big picture it looks to me like each side gets caught on something, then tells everyone it was the other side who did it. " I know you are but what am i" classic playground except with media talking heads, social media, foreign agitators, and lawyers. "Into infinity…". Cynical, caustic, bitter, a game of insults trying to own the other side.

Appearing in multiple sources. Also one denial so far. We will find out if true.

Clearly a right wing extremist, 35th, and I can't believe you don't see it- what else do you need to prove it, weed and sodomy?

Nine LB.

😔 Yes I'm shamed. I obviously missed the obvious. Also DJT was also responsible for both attempts on himself.

And I guess my questions are " incredibly dangerous" according to Karine Jean Pierre.

"Q Thank you, Karine. It's been only two days since somebody allegedly tried to kill Donald Trump again, and you're here at the podium in the White House Briefing Room calling him a "threat." How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the president and the vice president and you pick a different word to describe Trump other than "threat"?

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Peter, if anything from this administration, I actually completely disagree with the premise of your question.

The question that you're asking, it is also incredibly dangerous in the way that you're asking it, because American people are watching. And to say that — to say that from a administration who has consistently condemned political violence; from an administration where the president called the former president and was thankful, grateful that he was okay; from an administration who has called out January 6th, called out the attack of Paul Pelosi, called out and said we need to lower the temperature after the Butler incident — and now for you to make that kind of comment in your question — because it — your question involved a comment and a statement — and, you know, it is — that is also incredibly dangerous when we have been very clear in — in condemning political violence from here."

I am extremely chastised. 😔

I suppose even seppuku, is not completely out of the question. 😵

😉

Not exactly a Pierre Salinger-esque response, is it? That word salad makes the unscripted Kamala Harris seem like Dorothy Parker.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP18 Sep 2024 4:01 p.m. PST

Still trying to figure it out.

Was it "incredibly dangerous" "because American people are watching."?

So she does not want them to be aware? The truth might be dangerous?

"Some truths can feel very threatening, especially to those whose beliefs are not aligned to those truths.

Some people identify so hard with their worldviews and beliefs that, regardless of them being actually true or false, are prepared to act violently and cause harm to others.

A person who's ideas are put under scrutiny feels threatened and psychologically experiences it as an attack or threat to the self.

For people who are truth-seekers, and value truth above illusions and falsehoods, there is nothing dangerous about the truth. They are willing to learn it and revise their beliefs in the light of new information… "
