A fairly good month to end the best year of painting I've had in quite a while.
Painted: 22 figures
Purchased: 22 figures
Sold: 6 figures
OK, so I gave in to temptation there at the end and ordered more figures than I probably should have. The small sale did mean a net decrease in unpainted figures for the month.
For the year, things look a little better:
Painted: 301
Purchased: 184
So, for the year, I painted 117 more figures than I purchased! Add in the 49 figures I sold, and it looks even better.
The biggest single group painted was Mycenaean Greeks and their allies and possible enemies. I still have all the chariots and some infantry still to paint, but I hope to get these painted in 2024.
I am also planning on working on some fantasy figures I purchased several years ago, and maybe even finishing up some things that are almost done (the pulp figures I've purchased come to mind here).
Another aspect of eliminating the lead mountain, is selling or giving away some of the figures, and I need to give this serious thought this year. Some years ago, I asked how long TMPers felt they would be able to continue to paint and game, and sadly I am getting to the lower range of ages they suggested.
The other side of finishing up the lead mountain revolves around winning the lottery (didn't happen last night, though) and sending hundreds of figures on an all-expense paid trip to Sri Lanka!
