"This battle was the only battle of the Napoleonic Wars that took place on the territory of the Kingdom of Hungary, and also the last such clash in which the forces of the Hungarian noble uprising took part. It was commanded by Archduke János IX. corps consisted of 28,997 infantry, 10,996 cavalry and 28 guns, to which were added 10,000 infantry and 9,000 cavalry of the insurgents. At the same time, the marching French army counted 41,814 infantry, 13,482 cavalry and 144 guns…"
