As we head into the Festive Season, the final three models needed to complete the Dutch rear squadron or white squadron have been added to the collection, establishing a solid start to the completion of this project in the New Year.

The Cerberus 68-guns, Haarlem 68-guns and Alkmaar 56-guns were caught up in a 45 minute maelstrom as the British Leeward Division attack struck the Dutch rear at about 12.45 on the 11th October 1797, leaving all but the Cerberus struck and taken by just after 14.00.

In this post I take a look at the British attack and these Dutch ships in particular. If you would like to know more, then just follow the link to JJ's.
