One of the games played at last month's meeting of the DWG was a playtest of a set of rules in the making, with a few of the chaps getting together to playtest some ideas for a potential set of Renaissance era rules, loosely referred to as 'In the Buff' from the Too Fat Lardies.

I would stress that the rules do not exist formally, but it was fun seeing ideas being tested at the club that will hopefully inform that development.

"in the Buff Playtest". Not quite what I expected or really wanted to see considering the demographics of the hobby.

Sounds like something our good friend Tango would post under NSFW.

It does look like an interesting game.

Thanks for your comments chaps.

Yes the Lardy ability to divert the hobby away from the usual ‘Blood & Thunder' type of title for a rule set always makes me smile and is a typically British ‘Carry-On' double entendres style of humour.

It could have been worse, given the gestation period for this rule set, perhaps "Up the Duff' might have been more appropriate but hopefully with the help of enthusiasts for these rules coming to fruition that can be speeded up.

Cheers

Form the look of the game photos, it looks like units of 6 plus individual characters…is this in the rules or a function of figure availability for this particular game. It would be good to get a head start on units for its release. Regards Alan

Might be perfect with Bloody Miniatures ECW for small actions.

The figures and scenery look fantastic. Great to see an action from this seldom gamed period.
