…Still, Hamas's claims of the number of Israeli vehicles destroyed appear grossly exaggerated. On Saturday, November 11, a spokesman for the Qassam Brigades claimed 160 military vehicles from the two columns that advanced from the north border of Gaza had been destroyed "totally or partially," including 25 in the 48 hours prior to the announcement…

I suspect that all the claims are inflated by both sides. Frankly I don't believe a bit of what I am hearing out of the Middle East from either Hamas or the Israeli government.

Truth is the first victim of war…

Exaggeration during war is old as war.

US military doctrine is to understate battle damage assessments when in doubt.

That's one reason Saddam's army collapsed so quickly in Desert Storm. All the analysts were saying "substantially degraded", implying they still had a lot of fight left. Russian or Arab analysts would have proudly reported "completely destroyed".

Iran, islamic terrorists, Russia, North Korea and China … don't almost ever tell the truth. About anything … Some may say I'm biased …

The real number is probably one. One tank. That's the one Merkava they disabled with an Anti-tank grenade drone-drop during their Oct 7 surprise attack. The tank they have shown in their videos over and over again. Showing the same tank knocked out by a AT grenade 150 times doesn't equal knocking out 150 tanks.

Agreed … Hamas is only really effective against unarmed women and children …

I see a bunch of Hamas videos showing IED and RPG attacks on Israeli vehicles, but they all seem to end the same way -- with an explosion, and then freeze frame and screams of Allahu Akbar. So we don't know if that AFV was damaged, because a fireball bloom in freeze frame doesn't mean the armor was penetrated -- could be reactive armor going off, or even active measures detonating the RPG at close range.

Yes, could maybe believe it if the vehicles were loaded with women, children and the elderly. Otherwise, this is bull.

I'm sure the count includes bicycles, tricycles, and baby carriages.

I know Hamas, Iran, Russia, North Korea and China lie … pretty much about anything and everything. I could be wrong … wait … no I'm not !
