I have a large stock of painted figures, mostly 10mm and 6mm figures. I have a large numbers left to paint but I will never get to game the figures that I have painted. I want to know what are my options. |

Generally: sell, give, or trash Options to sell them: TMP marketplace, ebay, facebook marketplace Options to give them: a local club/group, local game store, gifts to younglings that might show an interest, maybe a local library (for use as a diorama, maybe), someplace like a Goodwill or Arc Search the forums, this topic comes up pretty often. |

Also NobleKnight buys collections. Dimes on a dollar usually but I think they pay shipping. Sadly, the market has been real slow for a while now since eBay and PayPal have both increased their fees, USPS is trying to price themselves out of the shipping business, and big brother now counts any business more than $600 USD total annual that you do through money changer (PayPal, etc) as income and you will get a 1099. I haven't bothered to sell anything in over a year. Sorry to be a pooper. |

Pick a collection you want to sell. Look around and decide on a price for an entire set. So, ACW both sides, infantry, cavalry, artillery. Let's say you want $500 USD for it. List it here and on any other forums (FB etc). Give it 2 or 3 tries. If it doesn't sell, break the collection up into a few pieces. So one division for $50 USD, that kind of thing. Smaller chunks may sell fater but are a lot more work. If there's a big con near you take them to the flea market. |

For 6mm for instance, I might be interested…. |

Hang onto them – you will regret getting rid of them if you ever want to use them, and it unlikely that you will raise much money from them. |

Don't trash. See them to a good home now. I would be careful of eBay or Etsy these days. As I understand it, total sales per year of $200 USD or more will now be reported to the IRS, and they'll want paperwork you probably don't have, treating you as a small business. A starter army for kids is an excellent notion, if you can find the kid. Otherwise, I'd say sort them by period and scale. Then name a price, and go low. TMP is not a bad place to start. I might compete with EC. The convention flea markets have worked well for me, but I price to sell. John Armatys, you miss the point. belasirius is not engaged in fund-raising: he's trying to find a good home for his friends. |

I am always interested in both 6mm and 10mm collections. Let me know what you have. |

There are a number of sites on the web, like Bartertown, FB groups like CONSIM Marketplace, etc. With these you have to be flexible to pack and ship things. I had to help a friends widow liquidate his collection. I did most of it in face to face sales at convention flea markets, paid for a dealer table at convention's and held a couple of local "sale days" for our local gaming community. I made some "great" deals to people that bought whole collections for a particular era (like for his 25/28mm American Revolution armies or his early war WW2 German's). You are only limited by your imagination, just don't throw them away. |

Borderwars is this coming weekend, you are not that far from Kansas City, bring em down and sell them, short notice I know, but it is an option. If not this year there is always next year. |

There are a few good sell groups on Facebook that I have bought from in the past, but all sales typically use PayPal for the purchase protection. Taking the units to a convention where there is a flea market would be the best bet to get cash for an in-person transaction. |
