6,208 (Nine, counting this post). I think I am more in the middle, but just a guess. Been coming here since it was more of a bulletin board, prior to Y2K. Those posting numbers were lost, everyone had to start over. I doubt I lost much, though. Those were a very different time, as the Internet was still quite young, and much more limited in capability. I believe I went by a different screen name, then, as well. I did not invent Sgt. Slag, until 1998, and I was already a member of TMP, by then. Cheers! |

A few years back there was a major "oopsie" on the TMP server, and a LOT of info and posts, went into the ether or internet purgatory where all the lost internet posts go to. As a result, most peoples post counts were cut by as much as 50%. |

Well, 6,109 posts for me. Spread out over 7,353 days. Perhaps I should see if I can't beat Tango over a one-week period--clearly, I'm never going to catch up with his career total! Maybe a project for this winter when it's cold and snowy and too miserable to go out. By the way, Zephyr +1 (I've deleted a bunch of stuff, too. I always thought Tango was an example of AI and some kind of an IT programme (UK spelling) that had become self aware and would eventually trigger a nuclear holocaust, if shut down. Well he was and he did not (yet anyway, as he is back). He gets grief, but, even if he does post the work of others (almost exclusively so), then he is very clear about that. He can do a Lazarus trick sometimes and resurrect a dead topic, or, to stretch the New Testament metaphor, be a voice crying out in the wilderness and highlight a new posting overlooked. I am biased, but I think he is a great contributor. (and, let us face it, it has gone bit quiet of late) |
