Hello everyone, I'm going to be playing GQIII for the first time. How many ships should we start with on each side to learn the rules? |
Martin Rapier | 21 Sep 2023 2:45 p.m. PST |
I'd always start small. Battle of the River Plate? |

Martin Rapier is correct. River Plate, Denmark Strait are both good places to start. |

Depends on the number of people playing. I would suggest one major vessel or two DDs per player. As you become more familiar with the rules, which my groups uses frequently, you can increase the number of vessels per player. |

They are a pretty simple set of rules, but no point over loading the players to start with. But yes, you need at least one ship per player! |

GQIII is a simple set of rules? I think GQI and II lean that way. I own 3rd edition but saw a large number of rules in it and always though it leaned more towards the involved side of things. If that is not correct I'll have to do a deep dive into them. Last two sets I played were Nimitz and Find, Fix and Destroy. Thanks John |
