A bunch of wheeled vehicles finished off for my 20mm Japanese Far East force. Mostly softskins – the Hasegawa Isuzu fuel truck, another Isuzu this time from IBG (lovely model with a full engine, which I why the hood is up) and the diminutive Kurogane car, a resin cast from 172 Scale Miniatures.

The Austin armoured car is from Master Box and comes with Japanese decals. I'm intending to use this for China, not sure how long the Japanese kept these in service for but I suspect not too many were operational beyond the late 1930s.

Interesting that the Japanese used a white star as a national identifier on their armored car.

Nice little collection you have there!

Man, super jealous of your color modulation skills. I wish I had the patience for a toy collection of such beauty.

Sadly you have repeated the common gamer mistake of painting Japanese softskins green when they were actually brownish khaki, like their guns. Just check the instruction sheet of any Tamiya or Fine Molds kit!

Painted with Tamiya Khaki, photos probably not doing the actual colour justice, but breathe easy there matey, they're my models and I'll play with them in any colour I like.

Hey man, YOU take it easy! I had already complimented you on your skills, so it's not like my blood pressure was spiking. And for the record, I was in no way suggesting a repaint. Them your toys, you paint them how you want.

Very nice work indeed.

Best wishes,

The star did seem odd until I recalled that every Japanese soldier's cap carried such on the front (as do your two in the car)
