Hi
I am looking for some ideal rules for ancients and medieval and this ADLG seems popular, – i came across this post online
link

where they are saying that that pdf of ADLG (3rd edition?) coul dbe bought for a great low price on the ADLG webiste – i cant find any link to this anymore

i would love to get teh pdf of ADLG, its far more affordable for me give the price of postage for such a book – and locally its 100dollars aud to buy the 4th edition

so if i could get an older edition in pdf i would be just as happy about that

would anyone know where i might still be able to get this- even if i can just pay Herve Caille directly that would be fine.

well it seems no, the ADLG site is not offering the pdf at all anymore – i dont see why not, – make the current version on both hard copy and pdf

i wont bother looking into ADLG any further if they want to make their rules so pricey – i just found a cheap copy of hail caesar 1st edition in the meantime :)

ADLG went out print pending release of the latest version which is v4. During that time Herve made v3 available as a PDF for 5 euro. Once v4 was released the PDF option was removed. None of the players I know play v3 still as v4 did improve and tidy up quite a lot.

The rules aren't cheap but about on par with other rule sets these days (Hail Caesar v2 is £35.00 GBP and there's only a few sample army lists in that, their 2 army list supplements are around £20.00 GBP each IIRC) and, given that they include the same spread of army lists as DBMM (which in DBMM are split up into 4 separate books you have to buy) I think they are pretty good value, provided you'll play them.

Without doubt though ADLG is the most popular ancmed game on the tournament scene these days, if that's important (which if you're looking for opponents it will be). I tend to find the tournament scene tends to reflect the popularity outside of it in clubs etc.
