Does anybody make separate heads wearing 1839 pattern forage cap in 28mm scale? Not the bummer cap; the Mexican war style peaked cap with a broad crown. The closest I've see are the WW1 British soft cap heads from Gripping Beast.

The broad crowned forage cap was a common style of the 1830s-40s. British infantry during the Sikh wars of the 1840s wore caps of this sort. Iron Duke miniatures, for instance do a range. Perhaps those or similar might serve your purpose.

The Iron Duke range looks awesome. But I don't think they offer separate head packs, do they?

Redoubt Enterprises offer a forage cap as a separate head option in their ACW range. They're listed as 'puffball' but they are forage caps and not the bummer cap you refer to. If you send me contact details via a PM I'll send you a pic as I have used some for conversions.
