I just published 51 plates of the work done by von Thümen, covering the history of the Prussian guard from its beginning until 1837. These 51 plates belong to the period of 1786 to 1815. Thümen had been an officer with a long military career in the Prussian guard and accompanied the plates with a comprehensive text about the formation, war and uniform history of all guard units. He also had the recognition of the Prussian king who also corrected the first editions of Thümen's work. The plates are done in a detailed and artistic manner and I enjoyed studying the original. You may find the plates in my uniform portal at: link Greetings from Berlin Markus Stein |

And the text may be downloaded at link … yes it is in German and printed in old letters. But perhaps some of you are able to read these interesting texts. Now enjoy the whole work of Thümen Markus Stein |
