Brigade command stands move after an action order placed on their braagde, but when and how do higher level command stands move?

Division, army and corps commanders don't move once they're on the table.

Cj1776, thanks, I don't use FB any chance you could point out where in the rules it says that or is there an errata published somewhere?

The SON errata and Q&A is here on the grippingbeast SON page.

These rules are so popular at my club at the moment. However I think they allow players to over manage what is happening on the table. But hey they wouldn't be Napoleonic rools if we all loved 'em.

blank frank – thanks, that's just what I was looking for and cleared up some points I was having to guess between two possible interpretations.
I agree over the degree of control over troops in SoN but find opponents harder to find for games with rules that are more realistic. It's much the same in the naval arena where many players want to control the actions of each ship rather than just issuing signals to squadrons or the fleet.

If you pay 10pts for a "Courageous Leader" (pg 63 SoN rule Book) Your Division Comander can move up to 20" and "INSPIRE" a shot up unit. It takes a roll of two "1s" to make the Division Commander a casualty.

Well worth the point cost!
