In Empire III there were/are plans of initial French deployments but none for any other nation. In other books there are plans of how the Prussians of 1813-15 deployed but I've never seen such plans for the Austrians or Russians? Can anyone help. They would be so helpful when setting up a battle as a starting point or indeed for Corps/ME's when arriving and deploying after a battle has begun?

Know we'll the layout I E3 and famous Prussian deployment designs but don't think ever seen a Russian one.
I play them in mixed formation as other countries line, mostly columns and Jegers in skirmish.
In cavalry is different that seems before Borodino each corp had a cavalry Regiment but they got amalgamated into pure cavalry units. I have done made up OOB with the infantry corp with their proper cavalry but mostly use the Borodino OOB even if only in partial

Cheers.

But does anyone know how the Austrians deployed? Did they still use Line formation during 1809-15 or were they always in battalion masses?

Thanks

George Nafziger's "Imperial Bayonets" has some useful information on unit formations and deployments.
