I've just finished reading Convoys, by Roger Knight, a recent and much needed addition to the Napoleonic Naval library looking at the Cinderella aspect of Napoleonic naval warfare when compared with the copious amounts of literature covering the big battles, blockade duties and famous frigate actions of this period, but one with plenty of drama, interesting facts and a book that gives a more complete view of Britain's naval struggle with Napoleonic Europe and later the Americans through a very long war.
In addition to reviewing the book and my thoughts on the highlights therein I also spotlight some upcoming themes, Napoleonic naval related, to JJ's. If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's link JJ |
