I highly recommend Johnathan Gawne's Ghosts of the ETO : American tactical deception units in the European theatre, 1944–1945 for an excellent account of these units.

Yes, I concur. It IS an excellent account. There are now a few books out there on the unit, but most are pretty bad.

And you can even read it on Hoopla, if you do Hoopla.
