The only tattoo I have is from the soap dye in a UTM round that hit me in the cheek.

No, I don't have a flag tattoo. I do have a tattoo. I don't recall anyone from my service days having a flag tattoo. Flag tattoos seem to be more prevalent with service members now than back in the 80's.

from my youth I have several but as the years pass they deform so in a moment of madness I had them refreshed. I got my regimental badge and motto on my left shoulder and a special unit I was in plus a red hand on my other shoulder. It does mean I cant take my shirt off in public (no problem I cant swim so only the mem and my doctor could ever see them)

I have no tattoos. While I have nothing against tattoos, I also don't understand their attraction to so many people, including my wife who has one on her ankle and one on her wrist.

No tattoos for me. Some Jewish cemeteries prohibit them (with one obvious exception) and while I'm not Jewish, I like to keep my options open. Many scars, ranging from the mundane to the spectacular.
