Does anyone know if it was green/grey or just grey? Warlords figures on the box look like their helmet has a distinct green hue about it whereas the Osprey book illustration has theirs as a definite grey colour.

You can probably get away with you personal preference. Paint lot colors could vary due to material shortages and exposure to the environment.

If you can find a photo of a uniform in a museum or collection that would you the best reference. Assuming they weren't repainted in the intervening years.

Found some pictures on Google of original WW2 helmets at auction so I've tried my best to match the greenish grey hue of one of them.

Sorry - only verified members can post on the forums.
