Does anyone know if it was green/grey or just grey? Warlords figures on the box look like their helmet has a distinct green hue about it whereas the Osprey book illustration has theirs as a definite grey colour. |

You can probably get away with you personal preference. Paint lot colors could vary due to material shortages and exposure to the environment. If you can find a photo of a uniform in a museum or collection that would you the best reference. Assuming they weren't repainted in the intervening years. |

Found some pictures on Google of original WW2 helmets at auction so I've tried my best to match the greenish grey hue of one of them. |
