For those of you not yet familiar with it, David Lean's Lawrence of Arabia movie has been described as the acme of historical film biographies. So much so that some of the greats of modern cinema (Spielberg, Scorsese and Lucas) were involved in a loving restoration of the film which had been butchered for its cinematic release.
The result is… breathtaking and best seen on a cinema screen if you can, it is a BIG movie set in a BIG country. A TV screen just don't cut it.
