Hello everyone ,

Well here I am looking for a specific rule for Madist Wars for large scale actions, of the same kind and as valid for example as "THE 1879 ZULU WAR AND BOER ZULU CONFLICT by Richard Tory" for the zulu war, for those who know it .

Thank you all

Battles For Empire 2 uses a Fire & Fury type system, with Imperial units being companies and native units are clans. All units have 4 stands, so you can have some pretty good-sized operational battles. Another option would be Black Powder where units can pretty much be any size you want them (companies, battalions, etc.).

Battles for Empire as well

Though also enjoy By Battalion Fire a convention set by TSATF

I'm interest in fighting large battles. How does Battles for Empire compare to Men Who Would be King?

Dexter Ward01 Apr 2023 8:27 a.m. PST

Men Who Would be Kings is a large skirmish set. Battles for Empire is a big battle set

I saw LittleWarsTV used Men Who Would be King for Islandlwana
though.

I think you can never go wrong using The Sword And The Flame!

You can certainly go wrong by using the Sword and the Flame for large actions, since it is a big skirmish set. It can also be quite slow with tracking of wounds on colonial figures

Dexter Ward, I can understand your consternation with large battles using TSATF. However, there are ways to have awesome large battles with TSATF.
