Would Brigade commanders have a standard? |

I believe that it was their choice, Custer had his personal Guidon when he became the brigadier of the Michigan brigade. |

Maybe. The Army of the Potomac approved brigade, division, and corps flags (1863?). Personally, if I had the opportunity, I would put a standard bearer with a brigade commander. Add a mounted currier, escort, or officer figure for a division commander. You can make a little vignette for a corps commander. |

As a long-in-the tooth ACW player I heartily support 79th PA's suggestion for the AOP. It doesn't hurt to "assume" (with the usual caveat) that other leaders, North and South, may have had an appropriate command flag. The film "Gettysburg" had some unattributed colors for ANV HQs that added to the background. |

Thanks all, I will add a flag to some of them as a compromise. |
