Ah, when WAB was king or at least royalty and the game does look pretty.

An ancient battle was the culmination of a campaign which had a political, logistical and military background. Ignoring all that, can often lead to a set piece encounter that is often not "sophisticated, innovative or original".

I liked "Might of Arms." A guy would run that once in awhile. I just played so much WAB that I was done with Ancients.

I was flicking through the Wargods of Olympus book and it has lots of scenarios and some fun ideas for sub plots. Its got the creative juices flwoing, I still have my hoplites and adding some fantasy elements may be the added way to spice up the gaming pot
