I'm rather assuming that the Polish ambassador to France is relatively senior and experienced and not going off script. Probably not surprising all things considered. link |

Poland is on the front lines and knows what will happen with a stronger Russia. Only question is will the rest of Europe wake up and support them. |

I would think their initial move would be to isolate Kaliningrad and attempt to close the port. It could make a great negotiating point to trade Kaliningrad for the Russian occupied areas in Ukraine. I also think such a move could well initiate a nuclear response from Russia as I don't think Russia could militarily retake the area. |

Poles DO NOT like Russia. Maybe strongest/ best 'Ally' in region. UK has little to commit… and mostly for smaller states such as Estonia. Poles could do a LOT of damage, if provoked! Remember… Polish forces were Front Line Warsaw Pact in Cold war…along with E German… but modern Germany, very 'wobbly'. We forget…Russian Forces were there to exploit… once front line used up… same as… |

BTW, IIRC, the US has about 4000-5000 Troops in a Combined Arms Battle Grp[I forget what they call it today!] stationed in Poland. Units rotate in and out. But there is at least that many US troops there all the time now, AFAIK. Plus, some other NATO forces are there too. Must really off Vlad royally. But not enough to stop him from invading Poland. I've discussed this before, so I don't want to be DH'd…again 🐶🏡 'nuff said … |
