TMP has been sailing along lately. Lots of news items about paper minis and 3Dprint models; things seem to be slower right now in the traditional hobby market.
You may have noticed some new advertisers, and some advertisers that are missing. There's a lot of "churn" in the hobby industry recently, some companies selling off or shutting down, some having sales problems – one advertiser told me he had to choose between advertising or feeding his kids!
As I mentioned a while ago, as a result of the advertising boycott, I had to cut the staff editors from full-time to part-time, with their hours dependent on when TMP has budget. They are trying to survive by working other jobs, but that is challenging due to their circumstances.
Editor Gwen is recovering from a possible concussion from when she slipped down the stairs and broke her fon. We haven't been able to replace the fon or repair the missing roof plates, but we did get her water turned back on.
Editor Dianna had a bad cold, and is temporarily off work until we can get her internet back on.
You will remember we raised some money to help Editor Katie, as her family is being evicted. They are preserving that money, as they have been told they have to wait until a new boundary wall is complete before anything can be built. There should be enough money to put down a concrete slab. I am a little worried about her grandparents, as they are only able to eat once a day currently.
