Here's a work-in-progress shot of my first two units, the Silver Shields, for my new phalanx for the Salute Ipsus "To the Strongest! game in April. They are all Foundry minis, painted by my Chum Shaun McTague and finished/based by me. There will eventually be eight more units of Brazen Shields. I'll post updates, here, as I get on with basing the remaining units over the next few weeks.

There's a lot more about the project on my blog:

Legionarius11 Mar 2023 8:05 p.m. PST

Amazing! You need a lot of space for armies that big.

Volleyfire12 Mar 2023 4:42 a.m. PST

That is going to need careful transportation, all those pikes.Yikes.

Here's the latest image of the emerging phalanx. I'm trying to get the last of the minis finished, ready for a big basing push, week after next.

The logistics of storing and then safely transporting those figures is mind blowing.
