…Single 2,000 Pound 'Quicksink' Bomb Dropped By A F-15E Strike Eagle During An Exercise


"Recently released footage shows the decimation of a cargo ship by a 2,000 pound Joint Direct Attack Munition dropped by the Air Force from an F-15E Strike Eagle.


In the roughly one-minute video taken last April, an old, derelict cargo ship – the Courageous – is seen floating in the Gulf of Mexico.


Moments later a JDAM approaches from above and the Courageous is literally lifted out of the water and split in half, as waves begin to crash on the decks…"

How needs over-hyped and over-priced hypersonic missiles? On a whim I looked up how many JDAMs the US has… apparently over 1/3 million guidance kits have been manufactured. I have no idea how many have been used – but I'm guessing its not that many.

Well based on what we see with today's "modern" warfare going on in Ukraine. Munitions of all types get used in large numbers in a short amount of time. But better to have too many than not enough.

Hypersonic missiles … from what I have heard … we already have them. E.g. when the tank came out every army had to have them, etc. So, weapons systems are like tools, you don't use a hammer when you need a wrench. Unless you are Russia then the only tool you have is a hammer … 😁
