"searching for AWI buildings for small scales 6/10mm" Topic

After a search for small scales it seems there is a lack of correct buildings in really most scales for this period. A number of traders offer buildings marketed as ACW/AWI which has problems to say the least and I find these ranges to tilt more towards 19th century America. Looking in period paintings there is a distinctive architecture to be found in the northern campaigns especially in NY/NJ area. Does anyone have any leads?

Just had a quick look at Leven. Look through the various ranges, there are a number of buildings in different categories that would work.

Thanks for these references, I wasn't aware of Leven. Still, in looking through them, I can't find a single mention of the AWI!

Total Battle makes some really great buildings. While not specifically AWI, there are a few suitable that might meet your needs here. (Worth a look, anyway.) link

I also just found some on the Pendraken site. They look pretty good.

What distinctive architecture have you found in period paintings that don't feature in the ACW ranges?

To get a good idea see Cliveden the house at Germantown. Also, see farm buildings as depicted in any of Eric Sloane's books from the 1960s depicting historic New England architecture. I'm being picky I know.

Wealdmaster – I asked Mick at Leven to make the saltboxes for AWI and he did. He has not made a category for AWI.
