Hi all! I have two questions about the Carabiniers of Russian Army Uhlan Regiments in 1812: 1. Were there separate (flank) squadrons of Carabiniers? 2. Did the Carabiniers also carry lances? Thanks and cheers Peter |

Each squadron had 16 carabinieri (160 in the regiment). In the ranks, they occupied the flank ranks in platoons (4 carabinieri per platoon). If necessary, they could stand out from the regiment for firing, but they were never reduced to special detachments. All combat ranks of the uhlan regiments were armed with pikes, except for officers and non-commissioned officers.

That is an inspiring picture. Thanks. I have no Ulans as pictured, must get some. Did I write too soon, who makes these figures? |

The Perrys do them in 28mm.
