I finished a unit of French 'heavy' infantry for the late 15th century – some dismounted men-at-arms leading an attack perhaps…. With a swappable flag.

That's a huge unit. What rules are they based for?

The only thing I don't like about that unit is that it isn't mine. Gorgeous!

Thanks all.

@Gozerius – not based for any particular ruleset, I plan to use my own homebrew ones. All my infantry units are 200mm frontage though.

Nice work.

Play it with dbmm, just scale it up from 4cm. All you need are 40-80 Units per army.

It would be a terrific site, though scaling up the battlefield would need long arms to reach your units in the middle :-)

That said, splendid units, a terrific paintjob. Reminds me of Stuarts work, or Athelings. Among the best.

Wow! Those figures are lovely! Great paint job and basing.

I do like the idea of playing smaller games (like DBA) with larger bases. I think the longer base frontage is more convincing. This is why I moved to Impetus size basing with a 12cm frontage. 20cm is even more convincing. I compare this approach to people playing ADLG with 15mm figures with base frontage of 40mm. It doesn't look like a unit to me.

15mm with 4cm does not make a unit out of one base. You make a unit out of several bases, up to 60 in the case of my Gallic battleline :-)

I to use 12cm wide bases in Day of Battle. Love the diorama look. Excellent paint job and the terrain on the base is first class as well.
