Hi, I hope someone out there can help me with a couple of questions. I am new to Crossfire & typical of me I have chosen a relatively obscure army, the Finnish, to fight the Soviets in the Continuation War/Operation Barbarossa. They have Leg Infantry Battalion stats (although they are noted as 1943-45 so I don't know if they will do for '41) but nothing in the Bonus Selection tables. I initially thought of just using the Soviet table but, as the Finns are a rare exception in using German Command Control, I wondered whether I should be using the German '39-'42 table for unit availability & Attacker/Defender bonuses? Also, regarding German supplied equipment, am I right in assuming '41 was too early for them to be using any of this – would they still be using captured Soviet tanks & be limited to AT Rifles rather than Panzerfausts etc? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jae |

Zaloga and Grandsen in "The Eastern Front…" indicate that the first German AFVs (Stug III) were purchased in 1943, with further purchases in 1944. 30 Stug IIIs in 1943; 29 Stug IIIs, 15 Pz IVs, and 3 T-34s in 1944. |

I would use the German table for 39-42. Seems about right given performance and equipment, especially against 1940 Soviets. |
