Howdy all:

for those of us that love the Dark Ages; I wrote a long post on how I adapt Hail Caesar for Dark Ages gaming (just in time for the 2nd edition to come out..lol)

I say adapt because HC is a tool kit rule set, and begs to be tweaked and such. This is how I have used it for hosting games at the club or at conventions. For Vikings versus Saxons; starts out with some observations, then army lists, and then 3 scenarios…

have a look if ya like:

Interesting article--I'll have to see if I can't find an inexpensive copy of Hail Caesar and give this a try. Of course, I don't understand how you can be so lost to all decent thought as to consider the Vikings to be the villains . . .

Hail Caesar 2.0 came out "recently". You may be able to find a copy of 1.0 for cheap. There may be a pdf of 1.0 floating around. A while back, Warlord was offering the pdf for no charge.

thanks!

Someone has to be the bad guys. It's probably the Vikings. After all, the Vikings were the ones doing the stealing and kidnapping. And then the conquering.

(Not that the Saxons didn't have their turn a few hundred years earlier..)

My group plays HC with a dark ages setting every week.
