Hello I am building up armies and am almost done for use with Polemos and Altar of Freedom. I can probably play Black Powder with them as well. Has anybody played all of these rules and which ones did you like the best and why? |

Just my personal taste but I found Altar of Freedom the easiest/quickest/simplest yet flavorful for really big battles. I'd probably call Volley and Bayonet a comparable set. Polemous is my favorite ECW but I have no idea how it translates to ACW. I played Black Powder Epic ACW and for me, I don't think it scales up to really big battles quite as well. |

Love Black Powder but agree if you want a really big battle not the best set unless you really bathtub things |

We've played some games with Altar of Freedom and they are OK for the scale. |

I would also put a plug in for Altar of Freedom. Easy to learn and the games play well. |
