Schumer is the majority leader and I do not agree with him. Some of the things he says border on fantasy, IMO. Even saying out load threating two SCOTUS judges. But nothing happened for making that threat … ? Hmmmm ? But only after we secure the border and build a new system that allows for controlled entry of people who meet legal requirements. I would still let the Dreamers stay. They were born here through no fault of their own. That is the only answer, but some would call that Pseudo-Fascist. Trying to control the border to stop 300 Americans in the US dying every day, etc. As we have discussed before. But yes, the "dreamers" should be sent on a fast track to citizenship. They have been here 20-30 years or more. Many have jobs, families, etc. and are productive members of society, etc. Of course, they need to be vetted to be fair. Some may be criminals too. We need to show what we still stand for without getting overrun by millions of refugees. Don't let everybody in, don't kick everybody out. Get control of it. I know this is impossible for the next few years, however. Politics. Bingo ! WE know how to control the border. It was under control for 4 years before the new gov't's leadership. |
